Cerberus Boss Guide

Welcome to the Cerberus Boss Guide! Learn how to defeat Cerberus with tips on setup, fight strategy, and possible drops.

Location:

The Cerberus teleport can be found by opening the Spellbook and heading to Boss Teleports > Cerberus.

Inventory/Gear Setup:

Melee Setup (preferred method):

The example above shows a high tier melee setup, there are many variations of this that will be more than sufficient for the fight:

• Weapon: Cerberus is weak to crush so any "Crush" weapon will benefit you in the fight: Scythe of virtur (Attack Style - Jab) > Inquisitor's Mace > Abyssal Bludgeon
• Armour: Full Bandos with Slayer Helm (i) if on task/Neitiznot faceguard if off task > Neitiznot faceguard/slayer helm with a Fighter Torso and Dragon Platelegs > Full Elite void. Full Corrupted is also a good option here, as it has high magic defence, and therefore you may get more kills per inventory as you should be taking less damage.
• Necklace/amulet: Amulet of Torture > Amulet of Fury
• Boots: Primordial Boots > Bandos boots > Dragon Boots
• Cape: Completionist Cape > Infernal Max Cape > Infernal cape > Fire Max Cape > Fire Cape
• Ring: Beserker Ring (i) as best in slot and then switch to a Ring of wealth or Ring of wealth (i) before the kill is finished so you can benefit from the bonus Droprate, or for ease you can just wear a ring of wealth the whole time as it wont make too much difference in kill times!

Range Setup:

The example above shows a high tier range setup, there are many variations of this that will be more than sufficient for the fight:

• Weapon: Twisted Bow > Blowpipe/Magic Shortbow (i) > Rune Crossbow/Magic Shortbow
• Armour: Full Corrupted Perfected with Slayer Helm (i) if on task > Full Armadyl/Full Karils/Full Elite void
• Necklace/amulet: Necklace of Anguish > Amulet of glory
• Boots: Pegasian Boots > Ranger boots
• Cape: Completionist Cape > Range Max Cape > Range Skillcape > Ava's Assembler > Ava's Accumulator
• Ring: Archers Ring (i) as best in slot and then switch to a Ring of wealth or Ring of wealth (i) before the kill is finished so you can benefit from the bonus Droprate, or for ease you can just wear a ring of wealth the whole time as it wont make too much difference in kill times!

Arclight Setup:

As you can see above an Arclight is also a viable method, Cerberus is weak to an Arclight just like all Demons are across Xeros, You can substitute the Corrupted Perfected armour Bandos or your best in slot melee gear that you have!

The Fight:

In the video shown below you will see an example fight against Cerberus, it is a very simple fight. Simply attack the boss and then protect from Magic as your prayer:

• Range(green) is first
• Mage(blue) is second
• Melee(red) is third

When you see Cerberus howl "Aaarrrooooooo" this is when Cerberus summons the ghosts.

It also shows where the Iron Winches are to access the fight.

The 6 items needed to complete the Cerberus Collection Log are shown above and they are as follows, in order left to right:

1. Jar of Souls
2. Shield_left_half
3. Primordial Crystal
4. Eternal Crystal
5. Pegasian Crystal
6. Smouldering Stone

You can also receive the Hellpuppy as a pet drop from Cerberus.

You can check the Droprate of each item by heading to the Quest tab > Coin Tab > Droptable, from here you can search for your desired item/boss and it will display the Droprate. You can also access the Droptable by typing ::droptable or right clicking on the boss itself and examining it, from here you will see an option in the chatbox to open the Droptable.

It is also worth noting that you WILL need a slayer task to kill Cerberus, this can be obtained from Nieve from a Boss Task, or you can get Hellhound task from Nieve as a Hard Task, which will also allow you to kill Cerberus. In addition to this, you can also purchase a Cerberus task from the Key Master at the Cerberus teleport, these cost 3m gp and normally range from 10 - 20 kills per task.
